Another adventurous novella centered around the stoic and tormented Evan Arden – my favorite hitman. Isolated gives us an insight – and new twisted revelations that will have you begging for more Evan – in Evan’s point of view of his “fight” with Sebastian Stark and his relationship with Lia. Evan always reflects different aspects of his life in every book, and I’m continuously intrigued by his twisted reasoning and mind. The ultimate tormented hero is Evan.
This is a quick read that focuses more on the action and Evan’s turmoil, but for me, it wasn’t lacking in romance. Evan’s character is interesting and gripping enough to fill an entire novel alone. The author pulls you into his depraved mind, and it’s an extrordinary place to be.
This book is part of the Evan Arden Trilogy and functions as a crossover book between Bastian’s Storm and the next full-length Evan Arden novel.
